# Let Us Know Jesus

## Preface

The more I call on Jesus’ name, the more I am filled with life, grace and assurance of salvation.

We live and are born again because of Jesus. We know God because of Jesus. We also became God’s holy children and call Him “Father” because of Jesus. Our Lord Jesus will be with us forever.

What shall we do when those who should know Jesus do not actually know Him? They pretend they do and are satisfied with merely attending their churches and denominations. They indulge in a worldly sense of belonging. God did not give us a doctrine but gave us His Only Begotten Son, Jesus. He did not give us a duty to belong to a worldly organization. He gave Jesus to be our faith. Without Jesus, we cannot know God, be forgiven of sins, be saved or have eternal life. Life without Jesus is only despair.

There are many religions in the world. They say they give people peace, but we know very well that they do not have salvation. They do not have Jesus (who was sent by God), so they do not have life.

Jesus is life. This is why the Bible says only knowing God and Jesus Christ is eternal life (Jn 17:3). You must know Jesus to have eternal life. If you do not know Jesus, you do not know the truth and do not have the way and the life. It is by believing Jesus is God’s Son that you can come to Him.

If you do not know Jesus, you cannot be saved. There are many deceivers in the world, so believers must come to their senses.

So how do we come to our senses? Coming to our senses means properly knowing Jesus, properly believing Him, properly seeking Him and properly trusting Him.

If there was no tempter or deceiver in our faith lives, there would not be many problem. But there is a tempter, and he does not rest day and night to bring doubt on our faith. Consider how many people in these situations know only half the story without knowing the other half at all? They cannot overcome their temptation and stumble. We always see these things happening. Therefore, we should know Jesus.

Jesus gave us hope, truth and faith through His public ministry. His death and resurrection gave us eternal hope, and His ascension and His sitting at God’s right hand meant He became our Judge and eternal Savior.

Is there a greater joy than knowing Jesus? If a person does not find joy in knowing Jesus - in the end, he is not saved. If a person is a true believer and has assurance of salvation, he will know he has joy. The Lord’s grace brought us this joy free of charge. It is the merit of Christ.

Even if a person has attended church for several decades—if knowing Jesus is not the source of his joy, and it is burdensome and boring instead, his spirit may not be saved.

We should not know Jesus just to participate in the divine nature. We should be filled with the blessing of knowing Him. Some people forsake the world because of the blessing in knowing Jesus. Some people live like martyrs and give up their lives because of this blessing.

Since early times, those who knew Jesus overcame all their sufferings. They struggled so that no one would take away the blessing of knowing Him. They also made great efforts to teach this blessing to those they loved. How can one express with words the true blessing coming through Jesus? For this reason, I present this book to the world and share this blessing.

Who does not try to find happiness? Mankind has the wisdom to forsake and abandon everything once they know Him who gives them happiness. Yet some people do not really know its source or know Him who gives it. They do foolish things to find it and give themselves more unhappiness.

God gave His promises and Jesus personally fulfilled them. Jesus’ words are witnessed with power to be God’s living word even today. When we stop turning them into old stories and approach them as reality, we will experience God’s true blessing.

I believe this book to be more or less faithful in making Jesus known. After knowing Jesus through this book, you should clearly realize how joyful you are and should not be unwilling or lazy in sharing this blessing with others.

I, the author of this book, am even more thankful that my children read it. I thank all my co-workers in their labor to present this book to the world.
